Recycling routes will run the week of September 23^rd

Residential Garbage and Recycling

• If you still have a “Blue” recycling container, please call Public Works at (252)-756-2221 Ext. 2412 to be put on the list to get the new “Green” recycling container.  and urge your neighbors to do the same.
• Please review the maps linked here for your garbage and recycling collection days.
• Recycling routes will run the week of September 23rd. (See waste collection calendar)
• Both containers will be picked up on the same day of the week. Please put both containers out this week. (Can Placement).
• Please review the changes to what can be recycled. Many of the items that are thrown in the recycling bins are not allowed and will be considered contamination by the recycling processor. It is important to include only the allowed items in your recycling container. Never place garbage in your recycling container.
