Sign up for our announce list. Bike Education Classes We host free bike education classes a few times throughout the year for kids of all ages and at all stages in their biking journey! Our next set of classes are tentatively scheduled for early 2025. Register for free here. Bikes will be available to borrow for those who need one, along with free helmets (to keep). All classes will be held at Hillcrest Park in Winterville. Open to all area kids! Learn to Ride (for kids learning to balance or those currently using training wheels): Sunday, March 30th, 11:99 am – 1:00 pm. Saturday, April 5th, 9:00 am – 11:00 am. Saturday, May 24th, 9:00 am – 11:00 am. Ready to Ride (for kids who can balance and are ready to learn basic road safety and bike handling skills): Sunday, March 30th, 2:00 - 4:30 pm. Saturday, April 5th, 12:00 noon - 2:30 pm. Saturday, May 24th, 2:00 - 4:30 pm. Winterville Walks Downtown! Join us for Winterville Walks Downtown!, a youth-centered community walk audit on Sunday, April 6th from 1:00 pm– 2:00 pm. Walk audits are a useful tool to assess street safety, comfort, and design, especially for people on foot, and engage community members in understanding and improving their neighborhoods. All ages welcome - kids especially are encouraged! Free. No materials needed - just wear a pair of comfortable shoes. Learn more and sign up here (space is limited!)
