Winterville’s Water Supply
The Town of Winterville provides water to over 4,000 households and businesses with over 58 miles of water main throughout our service area. The Town utilizes three (3) wells that draw water from the Black Creek Aquifer. Due to state mandated reductions on groundwater withdrawal the Town also purchases water from Greenville Utilities in order to meet the growing demand for water in our community.

Employees working on our water system perform a variety of duties that include but are not limited to:
- Daily water testing & monitoring
- Ongoing flushing program
- Water main rehabilitation
- Fire hydrant replacement / repair
- Water tower maintenance
- Well maintenance
